« on: February 14, 2012, 01:05:24 pm »

Hi

I've been using J river and Gizmo for some time now and i've had very few problem with my first tablet a Archos 70 IT running Android 2.2.

Today i got my new tablet a Asus transformer prime running android 4.0 and my audio is getting out of sync when i play video with gizmo on that device.

Anyone that's have had something similiar or any ideas on how to cure it?

Hi

Anyone that has any suggestions on this?

I have tried with some different android devices today and all using the Latest Gizmo on market.

Mobile phone with Android 2.3 works audio and video in sync.
Archos Tablet 70 IT with Android 2.2 works audio and video in sync.

Asus Transformer Prime with Android 4.0 not working audio and video out of sync.

Same result if I'm using over Wifi local network or if I connect on the public IP

Is there some setting in JRiver where i can influence this?

The Media center has the 17.0.82 version running on my main computer.

I'm away on a bussnies trip soon and it would be nice to have everything working by then.

It's probably the default video player on the Transformer that isn't working.  Gizmo uses it for playback.  Installing another player might work.

I've tried some and sadly no success but i'll continue to try.

I noticed that the program plugplayer let's you choose if you want to use the internal player or another one.

is this something you have on the idea board?

Update on this.

I have now tried 3 different video players on the Transformer prime with no success.

I have also installed an app so i could make them the standard video player easier called Default App Manager.

The video players i have tried are:
MX Video Player - Audio still out sync.
Mobo Video Player pro - Audio still out sync.
Mobo Player - Audio still out sync.

Does any JRiver user out there have a transformer prime or an android device with 4.0 that can see if they experiance the same problem?

I have now tried some more video players with no success.
If i stream the video with jriver as dlna server and then plugplayer the video and audio is in sync. I understand that this is different from Gizmo but it anoyes me that this wont work on this tablet.

Is there no setting at all in jriver that can help me with getting the audio and video in sync with Gizmo?

Other flash movies from sites or youtube works as it should.

Desperate for suggestions on this.

MC is usually converting so the Android player is the one having trouble with sync.

You could try converting to a lower resolution.

Thanks  for the feedback Jim.

I`m a bit unsure where in jriver i control the resolution for Gizmo. Can you point in the right direction.

I'm sorry for troubling you with this. But where do i change resolution for Gizmo or do you mean that i should change the resolution on the actual videos?

Also i have deactivated the standard video player in the Transformer prime. "it's the android Gallery app"
When that's deactivated no video is playble on the tablet locally or by using plugplayer and Dlna connection but Gizmo still works "but audio still out of sync".

Just a thought that if Gizmo are using the instock player of the tablet shouldn't that also give the same result as the other video connections when it's deactivated?

Once again sorry for asking stupid questions.

oh nice to hear that i'm not the only one.

I have tried different players for the Prime, different resolutions on the source file but audio is still out of sync on movies.

I don't know yet if it's the pad itself or ICS that is doing this. I will however get my hands on a Prime in a week with android 3.0.2 so it will be intresting to see if there is any difference.

Asus in itself are more or less using the core android firmware. the only modifications is custom widgets from what i have been able to tell so far.

As said before any feedback is welcome
