Bluetooth SPP support for Gizmo?
« on: March 01, 2012, 11:05:35 am »

So, I've been looking for a new radio for my car (to replace may living-dead Alpine 3DA-something).  I've been looking at Alpine's newest 2012 lineup and they're providing "full" Pandora support to Android via Bluetooth SPP (Serial Port Protocol).  Apparently it will let you do stuff like setup stations and the like.

Was thinking it would be really sweet if I could browse my library/playlists/etc through Gizmo direct through the radio.  That would go like 99% of the way to solving my issue of figuring out how to get my music in my car.

The A2DP seems to work fine, but when I was playing with it on the Alpine deck at the store it didn't seem to be providing (or the deck couldn't see it) current artist/album info.
