I must have downloaded the vanilla version of this 'ready to go' 'easy to use' 'plays all' software. As a result I appear to have a pitiful array of supported file types. Why does it not download ready to go and how do I now download all file types available?
I thought this was meant to be support but no matter how polite I try to be the basic question is rarely answered. If anyone out there can accept that it is possible to be interested in quality music and film reproduction without being fascinated by overtly techie jargon I would be grateful if they could let me know where the tags are that need to be ticked to make this thing work with all file types as advertised. I have tried FAQ but cannot get further than being told to check for updates now and again.
I like the sound quality of this thing but cannot believe how unintuitive it is. I do not have the supported file types to check out the video quality. Also, how can I have music via my DAC when in audio but switch seamlessly to sound from the TV speakers when I select video. I am using an i7 quad core lap top with 4 mb Ram Win 7 and have music set up as recommended for audiophile reproduction (which it certainly achieves
.) i.e. wasapi event style, exclusive etc etc.
Thanks for any straight talking help (I struggle with links to geek speak posts, though wholly respect those who find such stuff absorbing or helpful)
