System priority setting for MJ???
« on: May 08, 2002, 04:46:34 pm »

Is there a way to specify that MJ will have the highest priority when in use. When I am playing APE files and also doing other stuff on my system, I sometimes get interuptions in the audio because of the modem or other hard drive accessing. I am using a p3-700 256mg system, separate main drive and music drive.
Thanks

Hey Glen,

You're best bet is to move the Options -> Playback -> Advanced -> Performance slider towards "More skip resistant"

However, you're probably out of luck about the modem.  Every modem I've ever had kills everything on the computer (including sounds) while it's starting up or disconnecting.

Take care.
