Tagging while connected in Readonly mode to a DB
« on: April 21, 2012, 05:10:36 pm »

OK, this seems very odd, but I've tried it several different times and it seems to be the case.

I point my copy of MC at a DB on my network. The DB is already open by my server, so I get a message about it being readonly. No big deal.

Now, I use Drives and Devices to browse to a folder, select some files in that folder and want to change tags.

It lets me do it, but the tag changes don't appear to save.

However, I can "rename files" and that appears to work.

Is this just an oversight with the fact that I happen to be readonly to the DB? Shouldn't I +always+ be able to tag tracks if I've navigated to them directly via drives and devices?

Just seems kinda odd.
