FLAC to WAV Conversion Won't Play on iPod Classic
« on: March 11, 2012, 11:08:45 am »

I converted several FLAC files to WAV using the MC17 conversion tool and then dropped them onto my iPod via the MC17 Sync Handheld.  When I try to play them on the iPod the iPod just cycles through the songs and won't play any of them.   Is there a conversion setting that I might need to tweak?  BTW, I've ordered a COWON X7 because of I'm tired of Apple and iPods but still I'd like to make these files work if I can.  In fact, I have a bunch of .aiff files that will need to be converted to WAV or FLAC in order to play on the Cowon X7.   Thanks.

It might be the in-file tags that MC saves to WAV files.  They're non-standard, and some applications support them and some don't.

Saving tags to WAV files is optional, but I can never find the appropriate option.  You'll have to wait till someone else responds who knows how to turn that off.
