All-in-one touch screen?
« on: March 14, 2012, 01:25:42 pm »

I was at the local computer store and the all-in-one touch screens seem like the way to go. My concern is Media Center working well with a touch screen display. Most come w/ Windows 7 as standard. I'll probably be using a wireless mouse from my sitting area. I'll be storing on some sort of NAS or NAS appliance cd/dvd ripper. All will be tied in via ethernet.

Anybody using a similar setup? Any advice?

I don't think that it comes w/ Ethernet. How much RAM are you using? If you had to do it all over again would you go the same path? I'm ether going Vortex Box, Synology NAS for storage...

Thanks for the input and glad to hear the HP is working for you !!

I have 8 gigs of Ram and it does come with Ethernet. I got a good deal at Newegg. I use it in my living room as my Media Center Pc. Touch works good. I use a usb DAC connected to my audio receive.
