Podcast creation?
« on: March 20, 2012, 12:30:57 pm »

Using the latest MC 17 on Windows 7. I have a playlist of MP3 files that I'd like to turn into a podcast, i.e. concatenate all the files into one big mp3 file. Is there an option to do this within MC?

You could play the playlist using Disk Writer (Options > Audio > Output mode) and disable the option to break tracks.

Then convert the big WAV to MP3 when you're all done.

Good suggestion, thanks. For some reason it creates 3 files - the first couple of songs are in one file each, then the rest is in a big file. I can work with this but is there any reason that it's not all in one file?

There's an option in Disk Writer (Output mode settings...) for whether it should split to tracks.

Yes, and I set it not to split tracks. As I said, it merges all but the first couple of tracks but not all of them for some reason.

Is it switching audio formats?

You can use DSP Studio > Output Format to output a consistent format.

They were all MP3 files, but I guess the sampling rate may have been different. Setting the same Output Format did the trick, thanks again.
