Wake up to record
« on: October 07, 2012, 04:59:27 am »

Hi,
Can you tell me how I get MC17 to wake the computer from sleep mode to record a TV program? I canīt seem to find anything in any of the documentation.
Thanks.

Have you tried it?  It should just work.

If it doesn't, go to Windows Control Panel > Power Options and, for your plan, select "Change Plan Settings" then "Change advanced power settings".  Expand "Sleep" and check that "Allow wake timers" is enabled.

Nick.

Yes, I tried it but it didn't work.

I'm running Windows Vista so don't have the options you suggest but I'll have a look and see if I can find anything similar.

Nope, none of these options are available in Vista. Is it the case that MC won't do this under Vista or is there something else I can do? Media Porta manages to do this under Vista.

Are you running MC's Media Server?

Yes. I've now just upgraded to Windows 7 so will see if I can get that to work.
