New song begins before old song ends-overlap
« on: March 29, 2012, 02:55:18 pm »

I am new to JRiver and loving it. I do have a problem. When I am listening to a song and decide to switch to a new one the old one continues to play after the new begins. There are a few seconds in which both songs are playing. This is very annoying. Is there a way to stop this?

One more questions is there a way to add songs to the selected play list on the fly? Say I have started to play an album and want add songs from another album to the list. Squeeze Server has this feature and I find it very handy.

Go to Tools > Options > Audio and change Track Change to gapless instead of cross-fade. You can also use Ctrl+O to get the options windows to appear.

To add a new album or song you right click the album and select Add To Playing Now. After you right click you can also go to More Play Options for other ways to add to the playlist.
