thanks to the unknown poster

Just a note of thanks to all of you folks who help others, especially the person who posted a method to burn a megatrack CD in a particular order using MJ's incredible capabilities. I'm sorry I can't thank you by name, but I saved your tips without your handle.
My wife and I just got back from a 10-day Mississippi Delta trip: St. Louis to Memphis (Graceland, Rock and Soul Museum, Sun Studio) to Vicksburg (battlefield tour) to New Orleans for JazzFest and back. One CD -- 9-plus hours of 153 tracks of rock, blues, soul, and cajun swamp wonderfulness -- was our soundtrack, in the order I wanted the tunes played.
And, by incredible coincidence, we heard Guy Clark's "Baton Rouge" just as we crossed the city limits into Baton Rouge.
Mercy! and merci.

Was this the post in question?

Here's a workaround you can try in MJ...
1. First, make sure that Recently Imported is empty.
2. Create the playlist (I'll call it Playlist 1) of music you want to burn but don't bother putting them in any particular order.
3. Select all of the files in Playlist 1 and use Move/Copy files to copy them all to some different folder.
4. Clear the Playlist 1.
5. Import all of the files you just copied.
6. Go to Recently Imported, select all of the files and add them to Playlist 1.
7. Put them in the order that you want them burned.
8. Select them all, go to File Properties. You'll notice that they are listed in the order you specified.
9. Go to Tools -> Fill Track Numbers From List Order.
10. Select the first 99 tracks in that list. (Trust me.) You should be able to figure where it is just by looking at the track numbers.
11. Go to Tools -> Rename Files From Properties.
12. Clear the checkbox for Directories. Check the box for Filename. Type in "0TRACK# - ARTIST - NAME" (no quotes) (or whatever you want - you'll have to type it in manually, but just enter it in however you want it).
13. The first 99 will now have names that start with 001, 002, 003 etc.
14. Unselect those, and select the rest of the files.
15. Go to Tools -> Rename Files From Properties
16. Change the Rule so that it now just says "TRACK# - ARTIST - NAME" (no quotes)
17. Then just burn them to CD. They should show up right.
18. When you're done, just select all of the files in Playlist 1 and delete them, and their files from disk. You have to go through that step so you don't "corrupt" your library by giving your real files bogus track numbers.

This probably sounds longer than it really is.

Doof!

Yes, that's the workaround!
It worked without a hitch.
Thanks again, this time publicly!
