[Solved] MC17.13x, 140 broke "skip child count"
« on: April 28, 2012, 09:07:30 am »

There is some problem in DLNA server handling "skip child count" option.
It does not function correctly after 17.0.136 maybe.
It takes too long to brows by folder (Location) although "skip child count" is checked.
Before 17.0.12x version It works fine.

Wiki says :
Skip Child Count may be selected if the device seems to take too long to browse media in the Organization Tree. Deselect if this causes problems with browsing.

It's the container class changes.

What type of views are you browsing, and and how many files are in your library?

Thanks.

I’m using file path view to browse by folder structure.
I have over 60K files in my lib.
What is the class container change?
Does it affect folder browsing speed in dlna server?

What's your JRMark (Help > Benchmark)?

It's how we report what's in a folder to DLNA.

The performance hit was unintentional, and we'll get it solved in a coming build somehow.

11. Faster: Allow caching to work when building DLNA container child container descriptions. Massive speed increase (when browsing the DLNA tree).

Problem cleared.
Thank you JimH.
