To John H: "I cannot find..."

I have verified that Settings > Options > General "Update tags when file info changes" is checked. I cannot find the setting for "Always support extended tag fields" or I would have verified this as well.

Try the Plug-in Manager > Input > MP3 Plugin...then click the Configure button (for the MP3 Plugin).  Setup your MP3 Tag Saving settings there.

Both are set to "save, create if neccessary" in this config window which by the way has the title of "MP3 remove tag mode"!!! Whats that all about?

Thanks for your efforts to help anyway.

I Rip my CDs to MP3s with EAC and then import them into MJ8. Then I inevitably need to clean up the library as I do not neccessarily agree with freedb 100% of the time. Is this possibly something that EAC is doing to the MP3s?
