Keypad Plugin?

Has anyone developed a plugin that can be used with any of the multi-room audio distribution keypad solutions?  I'm currently looking at the RTI MRP-64 which is a multi-room processor and basically handles RS232 commands.  Would this be a good option?  Anyone have any other suggestions?
