Webgizmo & Bitrates
« on: May 11, 2012, 10:32:22 pm »

I've noticed that the streaming bitrate is still fixed on low quality 128k streams when transcoding files (converting them in realtime for streaming.)  Even when "MP3 High Bandwidth" is selected in the conversion settings, the streams are only 128k.   If the file is already an MP3, it will stream at the full quality of the file (ie 320k).  Can you please raise the transcoded file quality to 320k, or at least 192k?  Thank you for all your great work on this excellent program!

Thanks &
Best Wishes,
Chris

i would rather they make it user configurable like all of the other streaming methods in MC (Library Server and DLNA).  256 or 320 might be too high for some people's connection speeds.  When at home I would sure like No Transcoding.  I can certainly stream full FLACs around without issue.

Maybe you two could post here and we could get at least an answer.

Thanks!
