Help with hiface dts passthrough
« on: May 14, 2012, 03:27:09 pm »

Hi to all.
What a great product media center is !
All is fine except for using hiface to get dts passthrough .Can't get it to work at all sending 5.1 spdif passthrough signal to external receiver.Must be the proprietary drivers of hiface. Is there a way to go around it ?Using some kind of asio magic maybe ?

Welcome.

I would start with music.  Configure DSP Studio > Output Format to do 5.1 output using Dolby Digital.

Does that work?

If not, does changing between different output modes in Options > Audio (WASAPI - Event Style is probably good for the Hiface) work?

 :( Unfortunately nothing works.

Asio just ignores audio ,can't hear anything, and all other options make media center display error message.
