Hulu Integration and Series Names
« on: January 21, 2012, 10:13:37 pm »

Is there a way to see the series name in the Theater View for Hulu?  When I use their website, the episodes are grouped by the series, but in Theater View, it just shows the name of the episode.  So The Colbert Show is Thu, Jan 19, 2012, and The Daily Show is also Thu, Jan 19, 2012.  I realize I can go to the serarch and type Colbert, or Daily Show to group them, but that seems unnecessary... Thanks!

I really want to buy jriver but the Hulu interface is not very good. It would be nice if you could search by series name or network.

In Theater View, there is a Search for Hulu.  It's on the second roller, over at the right side.

This.

Is there any way that this can be changed, or does the Hulu API only allow for the episode name to be displayed?

We don't really have a Hulu API to work from.  I wish we did.  Hulu seems to be going in the other direction.

The Hulu Search was working just fine up until a few days ago and now no matter what is entered it says 'There are no items to display'. Can the Hulu Search be returned to its previously working order?

The Hulu server is being flaky.

You might try again with build 156 once it's available, although I think it's a problem on their side because searches in a browser or with Hulu Desktop are also strange.

Matt- I think that you are correct because the Hulu Plus search function in Theater view started working again last night. In the past I didn't mind using a browser to watch, but viewing Hulu Plus using MC with MadVR looks so much better by comparison that going back to traditional viewing is no longer an option.
