Closing far left pane by default
« on: June 05, 2012, 02:26:57 pm »

Hello, I've attached an image that describes my problem more succinctly than I can with words.  The basic idea is I want the left pane (the one with the file tree) to be closed by default.  Thank you.

If I run Media Server, MC starts up as I left it.

Thanks for your reply Jim,

I tried media server, but it does not fulfill my needs for 2 reasons:

  • Changes revert after restart
  • I have to open MC using the media server icon in the system tray.  If I click the MC icon on the taskbar, changes are lost.

Thanks.

go to options (ctrl+o) startup and uncheck "show tree" and it should be hidden on startup.
If it is currently unchecked recheck shutdown MC and then return and remove the check.
I use the setting and it has not worked in the past but a cycle of the setting with a restart fixed it.
