Long delay when backinng out of Theater View views

I know this problem has been reported by a few others.

Anytime I back out of a view in Theater View, it can take 3-5 seconds before the top level menu appears.

Interestingly I have a shortcut button that automatically calls the top level menu through an MCC command and that never has a delay. Only when backing out of views.
