meta data in video
« on: June 24, 2012, 11:51:25 am »

Why would some videos I've tagged with certain information like "People" or "Places" not show these values when I look at them on a second computer that is pulling from the same network drive?  I have confirmed I have write access to the files and the default option for these tags are set to change file when possible.

You mean "Write to file when possible"? As long as you set that option for the library field, I do not see why the XML sidecar file would be updated, and other clients update.
You're sure you have checked the option "Update library on external changes" in automatic updates as well? The folder containing this videos have to be in a automatic import rule I think.

Well, figured out the problem.  have discovered only .wmv files are able to save metadata directly in the file.
