DTS Audio CD Ripping problem
« on: June 26, 2012, 04:40:05 pm »

As I understand it, you can't rip this type of CD with FLAC you just get hiss. You can rip with WAV. I ripped a whole CD using WAV. All of the tracks play fine except for one track in the middle of the CD. I tried to delete that one track and then re-rip, but same problem. Any ideas?

Could you provide a sample of the track that doesn't play to matt at jriver dot com?

Thanks.

Hey Matt, when I tried to open the file in the media editor the file type was listed as WVC file, all the others are wave sound files. It is also listed as 0 kb. I get an error message when I tried to open it in the editor. Strange that when I look at the file in MC, it shows it as WAV 1411 kbps 62.8 mb.

I will try to send you the whole file.

The file you sent is a 0KB WVC file, which is the extension of a WavPack correction file.

As you said above, you need to use WAV.  Maybe delete that album and try again?

I have tried several times. It doesn't make sense. I have deleted the entire album and re-ripped, all the other tracks are fine. Just that one ends up like that every time.
