Since MC17 can play direct ISO, DXD and DSFF files, the output (through ASIO driver USB)
to the DAC, what is the file format form JRiver to the DAC , PCM or native format? I used a playback design DAC and it shows
PCM. It this correct?

PCM will sound great and work with all hardware.
Some hardware supports native DSD bitstreaming. You have to configure Media Center if you want this. More here:
