Please help : Theaterview problems
« on: July 08, 2012, 05:10:00 pm »

I notice a strange behaviour and can't figure out what it could be. I still have to use an external player for BD (full menu support).
I have set TMT5 as external player (the uMCEplayer5 in fact). I have configured MC17.
When I double click on a bd in my library in standard view everything works fine. -> the MCE version of TMT launches the movie starts just fine and I'm returned to Mc without any errors
When i select the same movie but in theaterview the MCE version of TMT launches but the screen remains black. eventually MC freezes and I have to restart.

I saw the thread about disabling Aero but this didn't help...

Settings->Theater View->Advanced->Uncheck "Use full-screen exclusive mode for drawing"

You might try checking it then. It seems like a rendering issue to me. I haven't used TMT personally, but if it is possible you might want to play around with its default renderer (change to madVR or EVR).

checking and unchecking did the trick. THANKS

I do use MadVR for everything which is DVD. But for BD I am doomed to use an external player aka TMT/PDVD as I got to have full menu support. (Music and Concert BD without full menu support is a freaking headache).
