Moving files and keeping library info., what is the methiod?
« on: April 28, 2002, 01:27:03 pm »

Pardon this question, it is probably something I could figure on my own, but... well I'm lazy!

I currently have disorganization in my media files and I want to take three existing folders and dump everything into one.  If I do this, how do I easily update the current information in the library, keeping everything the same but location?

Excellent work on the new blue look!

Right click on files, do Move.

Do a few before you do a lot.

If you use MJ to move the files then it will keep tack of what is where.
There are a few ways to move the files.
As well as the method above try "Rename files from Tag Info" from the the File Properties dialogue.
MJ will move hundreds of files using info from the tags and make the necessary directories according to the "Rule" you give it.

This is brilliant for mass moves.
