Feature Request: On Windows Start up Start MC Minimized
« on: July 21, 2012, 06:59:02 am »

MC is one of the few programs I'd like to start up with Windows.

That said I wish it would start more quietly without the splash screen and minimized straight to the taskbar

Are you using the options in MC's Startup?  You can suppress the splash screen.

As Jim says, the splash screen can be turned off, and if, instead of the startup options in MC, you use a shortcut in the Windows startup folder, you can set that the window opens minimised in the shortcut properties.

Also, if you really just need the server running, it does start minimized, so maybe just start that instead?

I didn't know you could turn the splash screen off.  That's handy thanks.
It would still be handy to have a start minimized option in the drop down list me thinks.
I'm not looking for Media Server.  Just a ready fired up version of MC :)
I'll try the shortcut option.  Thanks,
Chris
