How does DLNA handle DSF DFF
« on: July 22, 2012, 08:43:13 am »

I have  DSF and DFF (Multi Channel and 2 channel) files I would like to be able to play from my onkyo 809 through dlna as 2 channel flac. Is there anyway for me to do this?

The server can convert formats, but I don't think that works with those formats.

Turns out it does work, with these settings.

Conversion: Always Convert
Encoder    : Uncompressed
Advance

Stereo Downmix ON
Volume leveling On (was on by default could probably change if I want)
Sample Rate 48000 hz (I think this is the most important.

Works from gizmo to tx-nr809
works from browsing frrom tx-nr809

It's possible it might even work with uncompressed 24 bit. Depends on the Onkyo...
