Media editor in Media Juke box 7.2.28

The media editor in Media Juke box 7.2.280 is hanging after opening a file, in windows XP. THE PROGRAM DOES NOT RESPOND

It could take a while to convert a file to wav.

Don't run Media Editor and MJ at the same time.

The answer to your problem lies in the way you tell Win XP how to open the file. IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM (right Jim, Doof!)

In my case, and I believe in Doof's case, you MUST double-click the filename to open it. Do not click the 'open' button in the open dialog box or, as you have found, the Media Editor will freeze. This will probably solve your dilema. Since I am happily using version 7.2.272 I cannot comment on whether or not this 'known problem' has been addressed in recent builds.

I think this was fixed in MJ8, i don't see the problem now
