Hi folks.

When running slideshows via DLNA on my Sony Bravia yesterday, I experienced heavily varying time intervals of shown images.

Between 2-9 seconds to be exact. I've been running .nef converted to .jpeg 1080-TV.

I'm wondering what's behind this strange behaviour??

Is there anybody else out there, who can confirm the issue?

If the issue does not exist on different TVs, it might be a Sony issue, resp. a Sony/MC interwork issue.

After having above situation - I just sat down with a stopwatch.

Even at "fast" speed (Sony setup) the interval os now at roughly 8s +-1s.

And that's for .nef and jpegs.

The first couple of slides are a bit slower (12s) and then things stabilize towards 8s.

For now I close this chapter. Though I'll keep an eye on it.

Hmmh.

Just figured that MC caches already converted JPEGs. These JPEGs stay on the disk.

Maybe that's the reason why I don't see a timing difference between .nefs and .jpegs anymore. 

I'm comparing .jpegs vs. jpegs.
