Folders View
« on: September 11, 2012, 01:49:12 pm »

I can't find all the music files I copy to my computer's hard drive in the Albums view, and the Files view is useless. Is there a way to implement a Folders view, where I could see the folders where I store my music files?

You could use Drives & Devices > My Computer.

Or you could configure the 'Files' view to work how you like (define a base path, show the panes on the left instead of the top, etc.).

Is there a way to do this search in theater view, ie. look for files by disc/folder location in theater view?

See the attached screenshot of Tools > Options > Theater View.

Excellent. Thanks.

Now if I can figure out how to browse by location from JRemote without using the "remote" feature...

Do the same thing, but the settings are under Media Network > Advanced > Customize views for Gizmo & WebGizmo.  Restart MC after you make the changes.
