Naming Structure of Both Music & Movie Files
« on: October 04, 2012, 06:07:10 pm »

Hi,
Just wondering what others are using as their naming structures for both Music & Movie Files
so as to correctly appear or make searching the library easier.

For audio files, MC will primarily use the tags in the file, created when the file is ripped, to populate key fields in the Library, e.g. Artist, Album, Track Name and others.  These are then use for organising files in the library and the views you use.  It may also use folder and file names.  I tend to have Windows folders for music arranged by Artist then Album with file names for the tracks as "Track_Number - Track_Name".
