Auto Sync USB content?
« on: September 17, 2012, 04:47:37 pm »

Hi,

I am using MC for so long time. It is so far best sounding player. The question grab me to write my first post here is: How can I auto sync flash drive content while MC is running? I mean "Auto" = just plug flash drive and sync audio file with current library.

The topic called "Sync" on our wiki might help.  Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for reply. But I am building my music server without display. I set jriver as a start up program and control it using the wireless app "Gizmo". Now, How can I play flash drive audio files ?. In Gizmo there's no option to sync flash drive.

The only way you could do this is to temporarily put a display on the computer. Plug the USB drive into it. In MC, add a Media folder (or whatever you want to call it) to the Library and anything you add to the USB stick should auto import into MC.

The good news is that once it's setup, it should troll through the folder and import files automatically.

You can't add a Library search location with Gizmo as best I can make out.
