memoryplay
« on: September 20, 2012, 10:30:45 am »

Dear jim love mc 17 but have a question.

why is memoryplay capped at 250 mb is there a trick to increase this amount?
Love to have a slider so that you can change the amount of memory used for memoryplay.

And in mc 18 is there an option for a music version only?

17.0.47 (12/5/2011)

NEW: From memory audio playback will use up to 1GB instead of 256MB (after 256MB it checks against available memory to avoid using swap).

Thanks Matt.

But is there no way to reserve a fix amount about 1 gig for memoryplay?

Then it can load an entire cd to the memory and play without reloading under playing this reduces processorload
and not affect the quality of playback.

MC only puts one track into memory at a time, no matter how much memory you have. It fetches the next track at the end of the previous track and during the gap. That load puts very little load on the CPU.

CPU usage is not related to audio quality.
