CD/DVD region problems

My J River seems to keep changing my setting to region 1 when i am in the UK and so I cant rip or play and CDs. But it wont let me change it to region 2 as I am not permissioned.
Anyone know how to get around this and how to stop J River keep switching my region to 1 ?

JRiver MC won't change the region.

ok thx, so if its not the region have you any other suggestions. To start with the CDs are found and copied ok, but after a while after a window appears to say ' do you want JRiver to make these changes '    or something along those lines, all of a sudden it wont read , 0play  or rip CDs. It show the CD drive, shows the artist and album in 'explore', but wont do anything else and claims there is nothing to play. I have tried several different disc drives and its always the same story. It works for  while and then suddenly I end up with this nothing to play problem.

On the latest occasion I dont remember seeing the update window. But I guess I could have accepted this without really noticing in he opening up stage.
