New install, problem with RM format
« on: April 22, 2002, 09:33:42 am »

I just installed MJ and wanted to try out the media editor.  MJ claims that if it can play it, it can edit it.  I have recordings in RM format and I need to extract a certain portion of the file.  However, I get a plugin error (can't handle RM format).  I looked for the RM plugin but cannot find it.  Please let me know what I need to do in order to be able to edit RM files (I want to purchase the advanced stuff, but want evaluate the edit feature first).

Thanks.....

Thanks.....

I did a quick search for RM in the help file and this is what I got:

"Media Editor cannot be used to edit videos, DVD, TV, or those files that require RealPlayer for playback (.lqt, .ra, .ram, .rm, .rmj, .rmm, .rmx, .rp, .rv, .aa and .viv files)."

But you can always get the wave out with the disk writer (setting-> playback options), and then edit
