DNLA Server issues
« on: October 03, 2012, 09:14:42 am »

I am using Win7 with a networked Linux machine that warehouses all my data. Currently using MC17.0.186.

Have tried the DNLAs that come with MC - not had much luck with any of them. The only one that actually loads all the data is TVersity (separate software - not bundled with MC). MC plays back audio for about 30 mins or so and then stops with a DNLA playback error message.

Appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks.

I'm having the same bad luck trying to use MC with my Panasonic DLNA capable tv. Using WD Live TV that media player works almost perfectly, easily making thumbnails and playing many file types. Trying to use MC with the TV is a exercise in frustration. At best, on a good day it tries to generate a simple list, populated with some thumbnails, only some vids play. Trying to use the Gizmo remote doesn't work on the Panasonic TV at all, however it works sort of on my ASUS Transformer tablet.

My impression MC is GREAT for your PC, for anything else, pray. My questions in this forum about it so far have been ignored. :-[
