Updating to MC18 has been fairly smooth for me.
One thing that has took me a while to realize is that none of my custom microsoft remote control commands were working

Such as the command I use to set my ratings
C:\Windows\System32\MC17.exe  /MCC 10023,2

could you change it in future versions to scan and append the MC(Which ever version).exe to the newly installed version? This would also have to be true for importing a library backup from an older version
