Is it possible to have the 352.8khz in the upsampler, My dac Is not very stable @ 384khz?

I searched for something I believed was interesting and, to me, made sense. I found two similar threads, one from March the other a little more recient so obviously no reason (again IMO) to start yet another thread asking for the same. And yes, it is true that when many people ask for the same feature the chances of it eventually getting it implemented tend to increase unless of course the developper has stated that for some reason it never will, have I missed such statement? If I have then sorry and feel free to ignore or delete my posts.

If you have a SD DAC, like I happen to do, the oversampling is going to take place whether one is a bat or not, mostly in 3 non optimal 2x steps to rach an effective 8x. The algorithms used by the ICs can be easily bettered using the PC CPU's power so if the programing effort is not too big doing in a single operation with a better algorithm isn not a bad thing. If the difference is hearable or not is another debate but then isn't 128Kbps MP3 good enough? if so, why support "pointless" stuff like DSD, high resolution PCM or ASIO/WASAPI?
IMVHO freedom of choice is a very nice thing but horses for courses.

You're probably talking about the original frequency rate of the files, whereas he is talking about "upsampling" which is helpful for some DACs.

However there are plenty of people without bat ears who can hear the difference between 96khz and 192khz, but it requires very good hardware, which is why some DAC manufacturers only do 96khz, even though the chips can do 192khz.  (I won't go into more details, because your remark is already off-topic.)
