Adjusting Video Aspect Ratio
« on: November 10, 2012, 02:14:48 am »

Hi, I have quite a few TV DVD box sets that are in a 4:3 format and I like to watch them stretched to 16:9. However, when I select the 'Aspect Ratio --> Stretch' command the video isn't stretched enough to fill the display so there are still black bars down both sides of the display. Being in the UK they are all PAL format so I don't know if this has anything to do with it. At he moment I have to use a combination of 'Stretch' and then 'Zoom' to loose the black bars but obviously because of the zoom I am loosing a little from the top and bottom as well. So what would be most useful is the ability to vary the amount of stretch the same as you can the zoom.

Is there any way to adjust the amount of stretch that is applied when applying the 'Stretch' command and, if not, could I suggest it for a possible feature in the future.
