When scrolling through the Media Library with the mouse wheel, drawing errors occur. Does not happen when using the scroll bars. I have grid lines enabled, by the way.

Hi - I installed on my XP laptop and the display is screwed up in a similar way to v.246 (I think).

There is no title bar and the (now predominently black not blue) window does't not display the tracks in Playing Now other than the selected track. The playing window shows the track name but not the buttons although the tool tips work if you point over where the buttons would be.

When I exit but right clicking on the system tray icon and choosing "Exit" I get a Windows error below....

Big trouble here...

Uninstalled previous version completely, then installed 250.

Menu bar is completely black, most of windows is hot pink or black. Can not really see much of anything in the window. This is using an Nvidia GeForce Ti200, latest WHQL drivers.

Hi - on XP it looks like the skin has a black lettering on black background display problem. If I hunt around and select a playlist for example then the name appears, if I select another one that name appears but the original one disappears.

Anyway, still no title bar.

For those getting the hot pink/black displays:
Navigate to the Skin Manager (good luck) and change the skin the Extra Blue.

Ravman - blue is cool compared to hot pink. Anyway, running 248 on W2K until the boffins decide what to do.

I'm surprised it's not been pulled by now.

I could be wrong, but it sounds as though the black and hot pink is the underlying engine without a skin. I experienced something very similar when I deleted the skin out of the previous build of MJ.

Doof - in the skin manager the black |PLS| pink is reported at "Default" so you are probably correct.

KingSparta - it works fine on XP once you get over the black / pink skin issue. It doesn't seem to load on W2K or ME.

v.250 definitely looks like one to lay down and avoid IMHO.

I did have a slight install problem, but i renamed my MediaJukebox Folder To MediaJukebox2, and installed 8.0.250 and then copied my lib files to the Data Folder and all is fine (after i fixed the pink).

Add me to the list of W2K users that can't get MJ to start up.

Dr. Watson says "Exception number: c0000005 (access violation)".

If it matters, AMD Athlon Thunderbird, nVidia GeForce3 Ti200 with 2832 drivers.

Bugs

Analyzing Devices : This comes up way too often. I liked it much better when it only showed up when I actually opened the Devices branch (although even then I have to wonder what the point of it is - isn't it obvious that when I open the devices branch that MJ is going to analyze them?).

Everytime MJ quits (whether from applying a MEGA-ME skin or because I exit), I get this:

MEGA-ME Skinning : Disable MEGA-ME skinning doesn't do anything. It could just be related to the crash I mentioned above, though.

MEGA-ME Skinning : The File Properties progress box that comes up when you load up a bunch of files into File Properties isn't skinned.

MEGA-ME Skinning : Explorer Tree Views (Like when you browse for a location) look ugly because the folder icons aren't skinning correctly.

Track Info : The Edit Properties link no longer functions. Has this been changed or removed?

Remote Control : Next\Previous Playlists skip Smartlists.

Download Manager : I have DM set to autostart with Windows (minimized) and everytime I boot, I get this:

Download Manager : This still occasionally just shuts down for no reason, without any indication other than when I move my mouse over the icon in the system tray and it just vanishes.

Smartlists : MJ displays playlist ID numbers in Smartlists rules. It should clean that up to display the name of the playlist and leave the ID number in the background. The ID number should still be accessible though, because of my first request listed below.

Requests

Can the Remote Control portion of MJ be changed to accept a playlist ID number and have MJ play the corresponding playlist when it receives the right command?

Can the "Enlarge Menus" option be a seperate setting for Full Screen, MEGA-ME, Windowed, and mini-me? Or at least Full Screen from the other three?

Can the "Auto-Hide Bars" option be a seperate setting for Full Screen, MEGA-ME, and Windowed? This time I want it seperate for all three - the behavior I want in MEGA-ME (Auto-Hide OFF) is not the same as what I want for Full Screen and Windowed mode (Auto-Hide ON). Or I guess if MEGA-ME was just separate from the other two that would work for me too, but I imagine others would feel differently so maybe a separate option for every mode?

On the CD Burning box, can the Number of Copies text box get one of those up/down incrementer/decrementer things?

It would be really cool if every time MJ displayed a hyperlink that it would be clickable. I'm not looking for an automatic thing, I've just seen this behavior in the Plugin Manager and on the Import Media status box, and I thought it would be cool to have a live link for www.replaygain.org since you've listed that link in the Replay Gain Analyzer. Also a live link to the DSP plugin page in DSP Studio and a live link to the Vis plugin page in Vis Studio would be nice as well.

I think this is the icons themselves. I noticed when changing the explorer colors, it gives the same look. When changing the icons for these item, it goes away reguardless of the colors (transparent).

And I also agree with Doof on seperate settings for different display modes and an option to keep displays separate aswell.

Still would like Windowed Mode on the file menu, open on last exit, toolbar icon, and a hot-key.

Auto-Hide bar doesn't update current display when changing (rc menu). If Auto-Hide is on and you make it disappear and come back, then it updates.

When using windowed mode, the display isn't resized with auto-hide off. Need to resize the window to make it normal again. Internal view has some issues with resizing. (tested on video, wmp)

I think the maximized window is losing a couple pixels on the top border.

The status bar should also be skinned just like in xp. Also, bitmaps for the toolbar buttons and scroll bars would be nice too. (If it's possible for non-xp users.)

Wow! - Sure flubbed this-un up huh. Won't start on my system. Instead, I am greeted with the very unpleasant message that "this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down." I haven't even been able to see the hot pink that's the talk of this forum.

Uninstalled and tried going back to .248. Something is really - really messed up. For whatever reason, I can't get the playlist on the left and the song titles on the right. It's all one big page.

What to do?

Later - sg2

Cannot download it. It seems the link is down.

New feature: Would it be possible, when ripping a cd, to automaticaly download cover art, without confirmation. Because now, I have to wait for the ripping to be done, and then confirm I want to look for cover art. It's annoying, because I chose to search automaticaly cover after ripping, but it's not fully automated.

Another thing: Where can I see the coverarts in MJ ? Without the album plugin of course, because it's basicaly not part of MJ and only in alpha version.

Cheers !
