No Sound Reaching Recorder from LPs or CDs
« on: April 16, 2002, 01:28:01 pm »

I'm using Win XP & Soundblaster Audigy. Trying to record to Media JB from LPs & CDs. Both media play OK through my SoundBlaster system, but when I select MJB's Recorder, set source to Mixer, no movement seen on the volume meters. Tried Recording Volume - Auto and ran a test - volume went to maximum and report "No Sound Detected" came back. I think my system is OK because LPs & audio CDs playing perfectly OK (using CD digital & have CD settings on Digital Playback) and can play CDs in MJB, but audio not getting to Recorder.  TIA - Roger

Hi Roger,

> set source to Mixer : did you check in the Mixer if Line IN is selected as source ?

Did you try to set the Source on Line IN ?

Hi Yves
Thanks for the post.
In the Audigy Mixer "Line IN" is not muted so I assume it's selected. I have a turntable & pre-amp connected which I hear OK through the PC (Audigy) speakers so I guess it's OK. Also I can't get the recorder to respond to CDs so it's not just Line In that's not working.

No - I looked for it but the only options available are Microphone and Mixer - so I selected Mixer
