b248: CD's skip at end of tracks

I'm finding that all tracks on all CD's I tried (4 so far) skip in the last 20 seconds or so of playback. I'm not finding this using the same drive for playback (Creative MK-5009 "Ovation" DVD/CD) with WinAmp.
