This is the latest release and contains numerous bug fixes and reworking of slow bits of code.

You can start reporting bugs now ... if they are not already listed in the known issues bit of the readme file.

It lets you browse your library by cover art.

This is acting really funky for me. Maybe it's just because I don't get it, and maybe it's a bug (probably a combination of the two).

Under Completed Albums, it lists only two artists. One is John Williams, the other is Megadeth.

If I expand Megadeth, all I get is (Unassigned) despite the fact that I have 8 Megadeth albums, all with (internal) cover art. When I click on (Unassigned) all I get is a blue box that says (Unassigned) in it.

It gets weirder.

If I click on John Williams, I see album covers from some of his albums, but also from albums by other artists entirely.

If I expand John Williams, I have the following listed (unexpected entries in bold):

Star Wars - Return of the Jedi - Special Edition (Disc 1)
Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back - Special Edition (Disc 1)
Star Wars - Return of the Jedi - Special Edition (Disc 2)
Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back - Special Edition (Disc 2)
Hellbilly Deluxe (which is actually an album by Rob Zombie)
Star Wars - A New Hope - Special Edition (Disc 2)
The Memory of Trees (an Enya album)
(Unassigned) (when clicked on it shows various Star Wars album covers but lists the album name as Use Your Illusion I, an album by Guns N' Roses)
(Unassigned) (when clicked on it shows various Star Wars album covers but lists the album name as Cruel Sun, an album by Rusted Root)
The Golden Hum (an album by Remy Zero)
Star Wars - A New Hope - Special Edition (Disc 1)
(Unassigned) (when clicked on it shows various Star Wars album covers but lists the album name as Roll the Bones, an album by Rush)
(Unassigned) (when clicked on it shows various Star Wars album covers but lists the album name as Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the)
Secret Samadhi (an album by Live)

There are also 4 albums by John Williams that aren't listed (Although one of them sort of is - the "Return of the" one - that's exactly how it lists it). All of these albums appear in MJ normally.

Under Library view, Everything appears to be normal, but if I click on an artist or album in this list, only one song appears in the list. Which song from that album it is appears to be random. Also, on some (not all) artists or albums, when I click on them, a track from a completely different artist will be listed.

I'm also really confused about what I'm seeing (or should be seeing) in Track view.

I've repeatedly told MJ to save all cover art internally. Despite this, it occasionally dissapears and I have to redo it. I've had cases where a file that previously had art stored internally was moved to another PC and then the cover art just reported a broken link. So I don't know how many of the problems I've reported are plugin bugs or MJ plugin bugs or just my own stupidity. Next Page

Possible bug? Don't know, but this is what it says: Interface Plugin Album View must implement IUknown interface. Why is that?

KingSparta:
The progress bar is a known issue and is in the readme.txt file.

Doof:
Sounds as if things are going really bad for you!
Re your points:
1)  At the moment Album View only considers an album complete when all tracks have the same *external* image name.   It's the way I work and that's why it was implemented first.   Internal images will be supported in the next week or so.
2)  The "Track View" tab is just a complete dump of everything from the database presented in a linear format.   I use it internally as well (see below).
3)  I can't understand why the track/album/artist cross-references are screwing up.  Can you switch on debugging and email me the output so I can see what is going on.   The instructions are in the readme.txt file along with my email addy.   Or if you feel adventerous have a read of the output yourself.   Here's how it works ... it's pretty simple stuff:

Scan the MJ database and write the data to the track view grid
Sort the grid by artist/album/track number
Scan the grid and on a change of album assign the unique artist id and album id to those tracks, next log the entries to the treeview storing the album id.
Finally scan the library treeview working out which artists are commplete.
When you click on an entry in the treeview I get the album id and then fetch the tracks for that album id.

skinnyfatz:
When you see that message then that means the plugin has crashed Next Page
Can you switch on debugging and email me the output also (see point #3 above).

Thanks for all your feedback guys and bear with me while I get these issues sorted.

I get that error also and it does not work.  Will this be fixed in an upcoming release?

Bruce,

I'm aiming for 0 bugs Next Page

That message is just a generic one that MJ displays when it can't talk to a plugin ... so without tracing I don't know what the true error/bug is.

Anyway with any luck 0.0.4a will be out this evening with a lot of the internal code rewritten to be more logical/efficient and it also has a few bugs fixed.

Eeeeeek ... that's huge Next Page

Now I have a difficult design decision ... what should I expand.

So out of these what do you want:

1)  The treeview text
2)  The caption bars (e.g. where it says Completed and shows the album name and track viewing)
3)  The album tracks grid
4)  The thumbnail captions
5)  All of the above

Your choice dude ... but note that MJ haven't release the interface for me to get the current font name/sizes/etc so I'll put in a hack until that's available.   Also I doub't it will be done for tonight ... but I'll put it in soon for you m8.

Rhino,

The idea is that it is all visable on a TV.  Being that a TV has such poor pixil quality I need to increase the Font size to be readable.

I believe I am not the only one doing it this way...MJ has even given us the possibility to increase the font found in the "rightclick" menu !

So to respond to your question .... anywhere there is text...I would love to be able to make it bigger to show it on the TV.

PS the screenshot was on 1200*768 with a font selection of 16 in the tree view font options of MJ.

When do you think we will be able to select from the entire list of albums?....also when I click on an album I can only play one song not the whole album

I'm sure you are aware of these problems....Keep up the great work, I can't wait for it to work !!

Mike,

I'll see what I can come up with on the font issue.

Re the song problem ... the rules are:

1.  When you double click on an album it will load the album into the playlist and start playing from the beginning
2.  When you double click on a track it will load the album into the playlist and start playing rom that track.

Does the playlist contain the album's tracks when you double click on a track?

Re the full list view ... I don't expect that to be around till sometime next week.   I am going to get the plugin working 100% with the album view first before working on the full album view.
