It does not matter at all, but just curious

Why does the Default File Type associations include some file types of each group (audio, video) and not others ?

For example, why include Wavpack, but not Shorten ?

( I just ticked "Select All" since I have yet to find any specific reason to not use MC for any particular filetype. )

I can't come up with anything that was in common amongst all the ones included in the defaults, so it's a mystery.  ?
