Wrong speakers

I got it to work once. Now it stops playing through the hifi 9 seconds into the song and begins playing through laptop speakers instead.

Something at the hardware or driver level isn't workinng.

Take a look at this topic on our wiki:

Try all modes and report the results. 

Describe the physical connection.
