The web browser engine is not working properly....
« on: December 21, 2012, 01:13:57 am »

Hi,

since version 18.0.96 and up to 100 (included) if I double click an audio file (with cover and titles metadata) I get the message:

"The web browser engine is not working properly. Please retry the website, or download and install the latest version
of Media Center"

I reverted to version 18.0.94 that works properly.
Any hints?
Thank you very much
Stefano

I'm seeing it as well and have reported the bug.  Note: I see it when starting MC on the Main Page.

You can work around it by setting MC to start in, for example, "Last location".  Tools/Options/Startup.

I'm not seeing this.

What browser engine are you using (Options > Tree & View > Web browser)?

It only happens if the Web Browser engine is set to Internet Explorer. In Startup you need the Location set to Start.

I'm still not having any luck reproducing this.

I'm on Windows 7 x64.  I just installed some Windows Updates to IE 9, thinking maybe a new update caused the problem.  But it still works for me.

Any other clues?

Hi,

I checked the browser, which is set to Internet Explorer. I tried also Chromium with no avail.
Tried also to set to start to Last Location.
I am still having the problem with version 103.
Reverting back to 94 I do not have the issue, everything else being equal.
