Hi.
I have just installed MC18 (upgrade), and things went just fine. Until I was about to delete the MC17 folder from my C: partition. Then i realized that the following sub-folders were non-existing in my MC18 folder: Cache, Cover Art, Default RAW Image Cache, Handheld Art, Install and Plugins. Should I copy these from the MC17 folder, or is there anything I should do before that?
Also: which is the best place to store my Library Backup; the C:\ address above, or on D:\Documents (which is where it appears after the upgrade).

Thanks in advance.

Do File/Library/Backup from MC18, then uninstall MC17.  Don't manually delete anything.

I assume you just let MC18 install itself and didn't manually install it in the same location as MC17.

Yes, it was automatically installed. And I have done a library backup.
But doing what you suggested would make me lose my cover art and plugins, wouldn't it?
Also, does MC normally install the backup library on C (D):\My Documents??

Yes, starting sometime in v17.

You can configure this path in options.  I would recommend using a different drive than your OS if available.

OK, thanks. I wasn't aware of that change. Yes, I was considering moving it (the backup folder) to an external disk.
