Artist/Album Artist (and/or (auto) question
« on: December 28, 2012, 12:52:07 pm »

Hi.
I must admit that there was perhaps too many threads and questions for me to sort out by searching, so I apologize for starting a new thread:
- I've got several albums of the sort ie. Morcheeba/Back To Mine/Artist 1-10/#1-10/Name 1-10. Multiple artists, that is.
- That should mean, I suppose, that I set Morcheeba as "Artist" and use "Album Artist" (or auto) for the individual artists (here: mixed or re-arranged).
- However, when clicking "Albums" to find the "Back To Mine" album, there will appear one horizontal field for each of the tracks, not the album listed as one.
- When choosing Arist/(one of the appearing artists), this is quite OK, then.

So my question is: Is there a way to use the Various Artists/Album Artist function without losing the album view possiblity. (And yes, I have also tried to figure this out by reading the manual.)

Use it the other way around:

- Artist is the individual track artist
- Album Artist is the overarching artist you want to appear by default for grouping under MC's Artist-based views.  Leave blank and the album appears under (Multiple Artists).

Thanks. I had read and re-read this part of the manual. Another re-read was what I needed. I've gotta be tired. Thanks a lot.
