audio output mode WASAPI missing in new download

Just downloaded newest version but WASAPI choice is missing from Audio Output Mode. Is it because I am running XP? Will it appear and be a choice if I upgrade to Win 7? Kernel Streaming is the only option I could get working. Any advice much appreciated. Trying to get best quality audio playback.

Welcome.

WASAPI was added to Windows Vista, so is unavailable in earlier versions of Windows.
