Edit "number plays" tag ?

I'd like to reset or edit the  NUMBER PLAYS tag.  Can that be done?  I've reimported my media a few times.  I'm not sure how that tag works, but the "checkmark" in theater view isn't accurate for my collection and I'd like to be able to fix it.  Thanks.
