EVR used even in ROHQ

All is in the title.

On TV shows even if ROHQ is set EVR is used instead of madvr ...

I noticed when I came back in theater view where a small preview of the tv show is displayed madvr is used during few seconds ( I can see the madvr stat) before switching to EVR again ( the madvr stat disappear)

This is a bit strange.  One possibility:

Is time-shifting on?  When not time-shifting, TV does not following Red October settings. 

If you run out of disk space, MC may automatically cancel time-shifting (but you should see OSD message telling you that).

I am very impressed that's exactly what happens. What is the minimum size to enabled the time shifting ?
